Following Bally’s online casino, Golden Nugget is only the second brand to receive the “qualified gaming entity” license, which allows the casino to operate in the state without a land-based casino partnership.
The license application for slots and table games cost $4 million, which Golden Nugget Casino initiated in 2021, and received its approval nearly two years later.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) also announced the approval of 12 other qualified gaming entity licenses, including three for online slots, three for table games, and six for non-banking table games such as online Poker.
What to Expect from Golden Nugget Online Casino in PA
In New Jersey, Golden Nugget is one of the most popular brands, not only online but also with its location along the boardwalk.
Since Pennsylvania only licensed Golden Nugget for slots and table games, players can expect a similar experience as with the NJ brand, featuring over 2,000 casino games from top-rated game providers, including popular categories such as:
- Online Slots
- Megaways
- Live Dealer Games
- Progressive Jackpot Slots
Golden Nugget PA will likely provide unique state promotions, including similar bonuses and free spins, as seen in the neighboring state. Players in New Jersey currently have access to an impressive $1,000 match bonus and 200 free spins on the famous 88 Fortunes Megaways slot with their first deposit.
At the time of writing, Golden Nugget has a license to provide casino gaming services in the state, which does not include sports betting. However, since DraftKings owns the brand, it’s unlikely that Golden Nugget would move towards competing in the betting sector in the state.
