Caesars Entertainment is set to become the first US operator to go live with NFL live streaming, via Genius Sports’ Watch & Bet service.
Genius Sports originally signed a deal with the National Football League (NFL) back in April 2021, giving it exclusive global distribution rights for real-time official play-by-play statistics. This included the rights to distribute live video feeds to betting operators in several international markets. The partnership has now been extended to cover the United States itself.
The first US operator to go live with the product will be Caesars Entertainment – the Official Sports Betting Partner and first Official Casino Sponsor of the NFL. Customers will have the opportunity to wager in-game on both regular and postseason games via the Caesars Sportsbook app on mobiles and tablets, while watching official NFL live streams.
Commenting on the news, Mark Locke, Genius Sports chief executive, said: “In our expanded agreement with the NFL and Caesars Entertainment, Genius Sports has created a unique solution that combines our exclusive official NFL data with live streaming content to deliver the most compelling sports betting experience available across the US.
“Accelerated by our long-term NFL partnership, Genius Sports continues to go from strength to strength as our innovative products enable our customers to grow their product offering and increase market share across North America.”
While Eric Hession, Caesars Digital president, added: “The addition of live Watch & Bet video streaming brings the best that the NFL has to offer right into the Caesars Sportsbook app.
“Delivering innovative technology like this remains a key emphasis for us, so being the first US sportsbook to provide customers with in-app NFL live streaming isn’t something we take lightly. We’re thankful to bring an industry-leading new feature to our sports wagering app through our partnership with Genius Sports and the NFL.”
Genius Sports also provides Caesars with targeted programmatic marketing solutions, and access to official in-play content from NASCAR, EPL, Liga MX, and Argentine and Colombian soccer.
