In June this year, the official news of legalized online casino slots and live dealer tables landed as senators set the bill in motion, signed by Governor Daniel McKee soon after.
The bill states that online casinos will become available in the state from 1 April 2024. At the time of writing, only online slots and live dealer table games are permitted by the sole operator, Bally.
The well-known casino and game provider currently manages both the land-based casinos in the state, including Bally’s Tiverton and Bally’s Twin River Lincoln and will now have the monopoly of the online casino market.
Residents and state visitors at least 21 can access the online casino. Using a computer or mobile device, it will provide a wide range of slots and live table games from the Twin River land-based casino. The new “simulcast” concept avoids the classification of gambling expansion, which would require approval from voters across the state.
A New Live Casino Concept in America
As of April next year, Rhode Island will be the first to experience the new concept of live dealer games. Bally plans to combine its live tables with the studio and software technology from StateLogic on a broad collection of table games, including Blackjack, Baccarat, and Roulette.
The new concept allows Bally to build and present its live dealer casino with the help and technical support from StateLogic.
StakeLogic is available in 20 countries, with four studios in Europe, Malta, and the Netherlands. Robeson Reeves, Bally’s CEO expressed his excitement regarding the partnership:
