Bellagio: Gallery of Fine Art is pleased to announce the extension of its popular “American Modernism” exhibition.  The compelling collection now can be viewed through January 2, 2009.  Organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), the exhibition features masterworks by Georgia O’Keeffe, Stuart Davis, Marsden Hartley, Arshile Gorky and others.  The period known as American Modernism began at the turn of the 20th century and reached its pinnacle between World War I and World War II.  During this time, celebrated artists such as O’Keeffe began experimenting with painting by offering a subjective take on traditional still life and landscape techniques. Tickets for “American Modernism” are $15 for general admission, $12 for Nevada residents and seniors 65 and older, $10 for students, teachers and military with valid ID, and children 12 and younger are FREE.

Jerry's Nugget: Hosting a series of blackjack tournaments on the first Tuesday of each month through December. Members of The More Club who wish to try their luck at blackjack have the opportunity to win cash prizes. The first place winner receives $1,000 and the second place winner $500. The third and fourth place prizes are $300 and $100, respectively. The entrants who come in fifth and sixth receive $50 each. Tournament spaces are limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. All entrants must be More Club members and at least 21 years of age.
