Blackjack, Wednesday, 19 November 2008 Written by b The blackjack playing conditions are below average by MN standards. Cuts are not deep, speed of play is slowed by the dealers needing approval for almost everything, and not being able to resplit aces is strange for a place called Running Aces. Simulcast area is adequate. Food is good.

A dealers point of view, Tuesday, 11 November 2008 Written by Dealer 12 I am a dealer on the swing shift (pit) and I totally agree with the ante on the bonus $5 blackjack. It's a pain in the ass for the customers as well as the dealers. And with the "poor blackjack," I may be impartial, but you probably had an unexperienced dealer who has never dealt elsewhere. Most of us can pay a $117 blackjack, simple. The "rude" ones, my guess was day shift. People on my shift and graves, I can't see anyone really being rude. Well, there's one person...but that's it. And yes, we keep our own tips. I appreciate each and every one that has given to me, I can't thank you guys enough. I deal a fast, efficient game while still having fun. I honestly do my damdest to take care of my customers as well as I can whatever it is...just dealing, friendly chat, whatever, it's all good.

I visit Running Aces several times a week, Sunday, 12 October 2008 Written by dean I think overall it is really a nice place to go to. I have told them that a lot of people don't like playing their bonus blackjack, and also that they would need more 3 and 4 card poker tables and they have now opened up one more of each. I have a players club card, and they always want to know my card number, but about the only thing that I know of getting from your players card is 50 cents an hour for playing, and that is for food or valet parking. I would think that they would have some other type of rewards with their players card.

Nice atmosphere, poor Blackjack, Saturday, 11 October 2008 Written by Brad Furthermore, they play through a little more than 3 decks out of 6 before shuffling, so good luck with card counting at this place. The dealer hits soft 17 and you can't re-split aces. I signed up for a player's card and got a $5 match play in the mail. Big deal. I'm willing to bet most of the comps this place dishes out go to poker players. The dealers here were also mostly rude. They keep their own tips. Understandable why they may be a little irritable, they have to call the pit critter for every little thing, every time they shuffle, every Blackjack payout on an odd sized bet, breaking a $5 into $1 chips, etc. I played here twice and will never play again since there is much better blackjack available at: Hinckley, Mystic lake, Turtle Lake, Heck, even Treasure Island provides a better blackjack experience than this place. |
