Mohican North Star Casino & Bingo: Good place to stay out of!!!!!!!!

Nothstar used to be the only place to go, but since they built the new casino the slots are so tight they squeak. My husband and I have heard too many people complain about the payouts. $100 gets you nothing any more. I sat next to a lady who put $400 in a nickel machine and got nothing. I have put a $100 in penny machines and got nothing. The casino lacks the warmth and fun it had a few years ago. They must be trying to pay for it this year so don't plan on winning anything at all. We have started going to Wittenburg and find the payouts much better. Mason St. in Green Bay is also better.

Mohican North Star Casino & Bingo: Good Fun

I just wanted to post my thoughts as well on Northstar. My wife and I go there about once a month, we enjoy ourselves and feel like we have more of a chance doing well there as opposed to Oneida, and Menominee (which we drive past from Appleton).

I would have to say the only downfall of this new casino is the fans that they put in the floor make my wife uncomfortable, it is a smart design however for the people that do not enjoy all of the smoke - but don't really think they are needed.

As far as them not having a hotel on site, it sounds like once the economy improves that they are going to continue on with the construction project. For now though my wife and I stay at the Konkopot lodge that is a mile or so down the street, the service that we get there is very impressive and there is also a great atmosphere provided by everyone staying there, we have also heard that the White pines lodge is a pretty nice place, but with the package that the konkopot lodge gives for gambling we will always stay there.

We play mostly slots so unsure how the table is, the people playing craps are always sounding pretty happy! The slots allow us to keep playing, and can generally play all night with $100.00 which is good because it is basically entertainment with the outside chance that you can hit it big, and that is the way we approach this casino.

It seems like a lot of people don't feel that they send out comps, then you are not taking advantage of everything that they have to offer. We get mail offers for cash, and also free dinners or discounted dinners which is pretty nice. Also on their website you can play a game called shoot for the stars and win prizes ranging from a logo prize, 500 points on your players card(first time is 1000) 5 or 10 dollars, golf, and hotel stays at local lodges you are really selling yourself short if you don't take advantage of this. I often get the points, and have accumulated 5,000 points just for shoot for the stars.....

Hope this helps!

Mohican North Star Casino & Bingo: Be Prepared To Lose

Mohican Northstar Casino is just too damn greedy. But I guess that could be said for most of the casinos in Wisconsin. If table games are your thing, I cannot comment on that because I have only played slots at Mohican Casino. But if you like slots, well read on.

I have spent a TON of money at Mohican, and have received absolutely nothing except a kick in the ass as I was heading out the door. Their players club is a joke and so is their customer service. You have to accumulate 2500 points to earn $10 cash back which is pathetic. From my experience there, be prepared to take along at least $2,000 to earn a measly $10 back. To earn at least 2500 points you have to put a lot of money through their machines not just in them. Because their pay outs are so bad you are constantly putting money into those black holes instead of recycling it and earning points. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER received anything from Mohican in the form of comps after spending well over ten grand there in a relatively short period of time. Try going to one of Harrah's properties in either Illinois of Las Vegas. The most I ever spent at one of Harrah's casinos was a lousy $300 but every month like clockwork they send me a voucher for a free hotel stay, a $40 dining credit along with free play. They have been doing that for over a year now. Indian Casinos in Wisconsin, especially Mohican Northstar take their patrons for granted. It's time to take a stand and fight back! Enough said.
the non smoking area is too small. The area on the floor had too much heat in some spots and too much cold in others, when the front door is open we could feel the cold on the floor.

The slots were very cold in any kind of payment. The customers in general were upset .Who came up with billboards? Dont stick out and match the sky line and are very blaaa, it needs lots of work go back to the old ways and it will work....

Mohican North Star Casino & Bingo: Northstars New Casino

Mohican Northstar used to be one of my favorite casinos to visit. I have been there many times and had a great time, the people were friendly and you could play for a while and have a good time with friends. you did not have to bring an enormous wad of cash to play for a while and sometimes walk away up a little.

Northstar has expanded and built a fancy upscale casino in place of the old one and I have noticed the new casino pays for squat, the atmosphere has changed and customers are angry. It is hard to have a good time when there are people on either side of you complaining about the payouts. I frequent other casinos in the area and find one of the best to be in Whittenberg. If you go to the new Northstar casino bring a helmet because they might as well beat you over the head and steal your wallet......................................... but hey, the soda is free.

Northstar Casino in WI has to have the worst payouts I have ever seen. Take a lot of money and don't plan on taking any home with you. It was not only me either, I have never seen so many negative grumble patrons in my life as I did at this casino.

I should have known when I walked into the door and the couple leaving greeted me with 'Don't bother even going in there' and then I heard all the negative complaining about how the machines were paying when I walked into the restroom.

They do not offer match plays to new customers and instead they give you a slip which you have to use in selected machines, which as I expected were set to pay out nothing but make me feel like I was already winning.

The players club was not one of the friendlier ones I have ever seen but as for the floor staff, they were very very friendlly and the food was very good. Not as cheap as a lot of the other casinos in the area that offer food but still not too badly priced.

They do not have a hotel and I did not play the tables, so I can not honestly rate these two items but I heard they are building a hotel as I write this so hopefully when it is completed, they will follow other casino practices as offer so really good hotel packages, because as of right now, I do not see a reason to ever want to return to Northstar any time in the future.
