Sams Town Hotel & Casino Shreveport: Good Blackjack

Blackjack offers surrender, they have $5 tables. Pit bosses and dealer very friendly. Buffet is excellent. Wife didn't win on slots or video poker so she wasn't happy.

I have come here many times always have a good time (don't always win). Hope this helps anyone going here.

Sams Town Hotel & Casino Shreveport: Not for Locals Only

Rooms are decent size and face either the atrium (more expensive) or outside. We receive quarterly postcard offering very good weekday rates and usually book weekends through travelaxe. One negative is you have to walk through much of the casino to access the very small pool area.

Restaurant options run the gamut from McDonald/Panda Express to Billy Bob's Steakhouse. We enjoy Willy & Jose's which offers typcial, but very good Tex Mex. The buffet area is very nice, but the food compares unfavorably to most of the better locals buffets. There is an adjoining RV park which always seem filled.

The inventory of FPVP is extensive and you earn either comps or cashback. Entertainment options include Roxy's lounge, a movie complex, and 56 lane bowling alley.

This place was nicer when it was Harrah's. Food in the buffet is great. Coffee shop was good.

Rooms haven't changed since it was Harrrah's, but the price has gone up.
