It just isn't right when other major casions comp drinks and here we paid $ 9 & $ 10 for a screwdriver and a strawberry daiquiri. Outrageous. I feel that the money we had to spend on drinks would have been put into the slots anyway so they would have got the money one way or another but it would just be a nice gesture to give complimentary drinks.

There were enough players to warrant both sides of the table to be open, however they chose not to do this. Controlled shooting - not realistic being crammed together at one end. Won't be back anytime soon.

Went out on the boat yesterday for the first time. It's definatly smaller than the others but we had a great time. They have no sea sickness due to their location. Machines were a little older but they pay out well. I hit a $6000 jackpot on a dollar machine!! I still can't believe it. That would never happen at the indian casino. And no taxes. My husband played craps and lost a little but he didnt mind because he was just happy to play dice. The best part of the trip was the fact that it was free. Free boarding, free drinks and food!!! We enjoyed the shuttle ride out to the big boat. We will definitely go back to Suncruz port richey.

Hollywood Seminole Gaming: Seminole "Classic" Casino

This Seminole Casino was the first and original Bingo Hall. They still have Bingo sessions daily. Over 25 years 'old'. the building was expanded when poker became legal in Florida. Now it has a 12 table poker room and perhaps 1500 class III machines. It also still has about 40 Class II "lotto" machines that have their loyal followers. Some of those may be 15-25 years old. (The machines)

You must be 21 to play the machines or consume alcohol. 18 to play poker.

Join the players club for some free slot play and buffet, than receive a discount at the buffet, and promotion eligibility when you re-visit. They have frequent promotions and drawings. Free entry for most drawing for swiping your players club card. Points are 1 point for $2.00 cash in, 400 points - $1.00. No cash back, but points can be exchanged for free slot play occasionally, or used in the two snack bars, bars, or buffet.

Offers and promotions are received monthly in the mail by "qualified" players. The club has 4 tiers. The club card and points may be used at all Seminole Casino's. Often there are promotions such as "Earn xxx points on dd/mm/yy and receive $xx in free play", or similar style promos.

BINGO: They have a large Bingo Hall, with an enclosed NO Smoking room as well. Call for more information.

The poker room is competently run. The dealers and staff are friendly with regulars, and the poker promotions are excellent and often easy to win. They remember peoples names. My favorite poker promo is "Aces Cracked Wins $100". A Bad Beat jackpot has previously grown to well over $150,000. The poker room allows smoking at the tables. The small game starts at $1.00-2.00 limit poker. The largest game currently (Due to Florida Law) is $5.00-$10.00 No Limit Holdem.

There are "casino hosts", although comps are not that great. Free buffet? The buffet is only $7.99 anyway, and player club members save $2.00. The buffet is small compared to other casino's, and features hand carved roast beef, and either poultry or pork. There are also several other entrees in the steam table, soup, salad bar. Rarely dessert. But at these prices, who can complain.

The slot machines: I believe that the Seminoles slot machines at all of their properties have a high "hold" compared to other "Racino's" in Florida. I do not know what percentage they pay back as the tribe does not make that information public. Today, I saw them promoting (Signs and individual signs on machines) that they (Seminold Classic) have "The loosest slots in Florida.... guaranteed." To quote their promo card, "Strictly slots magazine presented Seminole Casino Hollywood with its coveted Certified Loose Slots award."

Strictly Slots Magazine is part of the Card Player "empire". I'm seeking information to salve my curiosity as to what constitutes their coveted award and claims. Wish me luck on that. I can say the The Isle Casino "up the road", as a "Racino" answers to the Stated of Florida, and has signage stating they pay back more than 91% on slots. It changes, the last time I looked, it was at 91.99%. I would be pleasantly surprised if Seminole Classic or any other property meets or exceeds that number.

With the Hard Rock Casino next door, the patrons tend to be more on the low roller side. Do not expect to see high fashion. It is a noisy, smoky environment. Very crowded, especially during the big drawing events and on "Free Gift Days" the line to the Player's Club to redeem can literally be "Out the Door".

Free beverages while gaming, beer, wine, well drinks. The servers are eager to please, though on occasion, as in any casino, can be difficult to find. As is usually the case anywhere, tip them well and you'll see them much more often. :)

To "classify" the Seminole "Classic" Casino Hollywood, I would term it a locals place.

It is old. It is smoky. It is not brightly lit. (Maybe a good thing) It is noisy and very crowded at times.

It is also fun.

I'd rate this overall at 50%. Certainly far from the worst place I've ever played, and I've visited over 150 poker rooms - casino's in the USA alone. But if I wanted to impress someone, had mom with me, or was very nicely dressed, I'd probably go elsewear.

That's my opinion. :)

I live close to this Casino and it isn't the prettiest casino in the world, but they have some pretty good promotions. They also advertise some great deals in their restaurant but be aware, you have to be a member of their slot club to get the advertised price. They also have no hotel or table games which is the reason for the 1's, and it is a VERY smoky casino which is why I gave the atmosphere a 1.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Tampa: Slot Payout

Indian casinos are not regulated by their respective states. Thus, you get very puny payouts. For example, the 3 Florida non-Indian casinos are required by law to payout at least 85%.

In Indian casinos, you're lucky if you can get a cup of coffee, especially if you play for any length of time. You want a better chance to win, then go to state regulated casinos.

Palm Beach Princess: The PB Princess

I go out on the Princess twice a month. I enjoy the morning cruise much more than the evening - seems to be a dicier crowd at night.

The cruise is free to me as a Platinum Player's Card holder and I can bring a guest along for free as well. I also receive $40 - $100 in freeplay.

With 2 floors of gaming - you'll find me mainly on the non-smoking floor - plus less wave action the lower you go. The buffet is free and it's fairly good.

Likes:
1. Free drinks
2. Nice mini getaway cruise
3. Gambling time is limited - once the ship returns to port and leaves international waters the machines turn off - therefore, stopping me from going to the ATM to get more money.
4. No reservations necessary
5. Tax free jackpots

Dislikes:
1. Slots: they really need to update their machines - very old and outdated
2. Puke: people who aren't used to the wave motion (sometimes over 7 feet) get sick - it's necessary to take Bonine or Dramamine "before" you get on the boat. Waiting until your already queasy is too late.

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek: The worst casino in Florida

The only thing this casino has going for it is the diverse array of slot machines - that's about it!

It's small, has low ceilings, dirty, extra smoky and the worst customer service. If your machine needs service, plan on sitting there for a while waiting.

Also, the clientele is a little dicey and they do seem to have a larger than normal security presence.

Do yourself a favor, go one exit up to The Isle in Pompano.
