Dover Downs Slots: Tight Slots

I have been to alot of casinos in Nevada, Connecticut, Pennsylvania & Delaware... and Dover Downs has by far the tightest slot machines of anywhere. And it seems like they tighten them up even more on Friday-Saturday-Sunday when they are more crowded.

You hear the occasional yell of someone who got lucky and hit for a few hundred dollars, but mostly people are just pissed off walking around because no one is winning anything. If you want to LOSE money and get frustrated by your gambling experience then Dover Downs is the place for you.

Hey Now! Stopped on my way back from AC on Feb 13th.

Always nice rooms, they were pretty busy. The VP is 6/5 JoB. I like the new Hot Shot games. they closed down the Trackside Slots upstairs, which were nice when the ponies were running.

Easy to score a room with minimal play, ended up pushing, so not too bad...

Delaware Park Racetrack & Slots: Delaware Park

The food was suprisingly good, plus with the players card you can take your points and get a discount on the food.

The promotion is also nice. Right now you get $50 after you play for the first half hour, then another $50 the following day. I can't say just yet if the slots are super tight, I did win my bankroll back but blew it, left before hitting scared money point.

Seems like they are fair there though, did notice quite a few jackpot winners (naturally not me, the RNG didnt like me there) and not just on low payout slots.

They have all the virtual table games there, but I didn't seem to notice any video poker games (I prefer odds that are much better than slots). As stated on here the place is very clean and modern, but like other DE casinos, fairly small.

The only downside is the parking is atrocious. Why they didn't put a parking garage in baffles me. You either take a bus or walk a 1/4mile. We walked because by the time the bus would have come around we would have been in the casino.

The other downside for Western MD people is it takes about $20 for tolls. And if there is a high roller section I sure couldnt find it (again, I prefer odds that are better, so much at stake). Good place to relax for a few hours and maybe win your bankroll back.

Harrington Raceway & Casino: small but nice

Wow this place is very small but nice (first coment when walking in). As stated, maybe 1,000 slots literally. Can walk from one end to the other of the casino in 5 minutes.

It's very modern and clean; the food is okay. I guess the Random Number Generator played in my favor: the 25 dollar pulls were very good to me. One customer (who almost knocked me over) won a hundred grand on one of them.

The quarter slots and 50 cent slots were okay. Just enough for me to get the gonads to high roll. Seems it's in your favor to play their high roller section but like anywhere else it's what the Random Number Generator wants to do.

Bear in mind it's a local place so if you play the high roller section you're at risk. Most people seem to play the penny slots and nickel slots. I'd go back just to try to get enough money to head up towards Philly.

Currently they do have a nice perk going, they offer $200 back if you lose and win nothing so that's nice, but if you win $200 or more you're obviously not going to get anything.

Dover Downs Slots: Dover Downs

Where to start? The customer service is rude and unfriendly, your players choice card doesn't mean anything, because you're lucky to be able to play for 10 minutes.

It's very rare anyone hits big here. The slots, no matter where you scout or check probability and percentage payouts, don't offer much of a payback. A $500 bankroll is good for about 30 minutes, the atmosphere is only nice if you're a high roller. It's intended for the wealithiest of people, not the average blue collar kinda guy.

I have gone in 5x each time with a $500 bankroll, carefully watching my payouts, and never have done better than a 75% payout. I highly doubt they will loosen their slots enough. Wealthy people go there so they don't give a shit about us average bankroll gamblers. Even on their highstakes pull the 6th and final time there I won nothing back.

Screw Dover they have won enough money from me and my family. Instead of driving about 2 hours to get there I will take my two-hour drive to Atlantic City or my one-hour drive to Charlestown where I know $500 will last. I have a good 80% chance of breaking even, or even coming home with double my bankroll.

Delaware Park Racetrack & Slots: Nice

This place is very nice, staff is great, machines aren't locked up tight like they seem to be in many other places. Has 2 floors of gaming, nice variety of machines, and they have a good number of those electronic table games which are all the rage now. That said, there are 2 things that I can't stand about this place:

1) The drinks, not only do they not offer free soda, the refills are not free when you purchase a soda from a restaurant area. Note: I don't consider the drinks that the waitresses pass out to be free, as you are supposed to tip them and if you tip $1, the drink cost you $1.

2) The self-parking lot is one of the worst I have ever seen in any business establishment. The rows only take 10 cars each, so if there are 200 cars in the parking lot, you have to park 20 rows back and either walk a long distance or wait for a shuttle bus. I honestly can't figure out why it is done this way, they have plenty of land and I think a much better job could be done.

The people are personable and approachable. The very first day the manager came up to us and called us by our first name and gave us a hat and a t-shirt!!! Incredible

All the Delaware casinos are a ripoff.

I was just at Dover Downs and put in over $1,200 in one machine and hit nothing. I don't know how people who walk in with $100 can enjoy themselves.

They better start to loosen up these machine or no one will come.

We had the pleasure of visiting Dover Downs last weekend. We normally frequent Charlestown, but since we never win there, we decided to try something new.

Over a two-hour period, we won two jackpots and left way ahead for the weekend. We also love the fact that it is non-smoking. Great experience. We don't mind driving a little further if we can actually win.

Delaware Park Racetrack & Slots: Great Place To Play

Since Maryland does not have Casinos, I travel to Del Park since it is only 40 minutes away.

The place is never over crowded, to where you can not get on a machine. The new interactive table games are really neat, I spent hours on them winning!!

The slots pay off good, always someone winning. Due to State laws, no smoking is allowed inside (which is a good thing I think, even though I'm a smoker.)

The food is ok, A little pricey. Only sodas and water is free, you must pay for beers, which they run around $3.50 for a 16oz bottle.

They also have a large parking lot which is FREE, and shuttle service to drop you off at the front door. They also have valet parking, which is not expensive. If you're a golfer they have a fairly new golf course right next the the casino.

The area is nice, clean and plenty of hotels within mins of the race track. It is easy to access of 95, I will continue to go as long as they keep paying out!! Good luck
