Mohegan Sun Casino: poor customer service

Seemed to be a good selection of slots, but the way they deal with excess change (any amount over an exact multiple of the denomination of the game you're playing) is different from any other casino i've been to.

When i went from a penny machine to a quarter machine, the machine spit out a 14 cent voucher (the amount over an even number of quarters). I didn't look at the voucher and tried to put it back in a couple of times. It kept spitting it out, so i walked away. i got about 50 feet from the machine and realized that it was for 14 cents and not the $20.89 i had on my original voucher.

I immediately went back to the machine and my money was gone. Someone had cashed it out. I immediately got a security guard, who said it happens all the time. I went to security (i know they have cameras and can tell exactly who took my money), but they were no help.

i'm not a big gambler, i go mostly for the fun...so that probably figured into it. When i returned home, i wrote to the management with all the details (voucher #, etc.) and got NO reply.

You'd think, in the interest of customer satisfaction, that they'd at least send me a voucher or something. NOTHING! i won't be back. (the ratings that i've given a "3" to are because i couldn't submit this form without rating everything....there should be an "n/a" choice)

This Hotel is over rated. The gaming area you will think is much bigger (this is it). The rooms are smaller then you think no bath tub has stall shower.

But if you like the noise then it's a place for you, has a night club. Has a nice theater for shows. Put alot of money in this place that they did not need.

Mohegan Sun Casino: Sun Worshiper

Although I am not a high roller, I used to get wonderful offers/comps - even a great deal on a room Fri. night (I needed a break after a week at work at a high school).

However, the offers have tightened up and, alas, the Fri. night rooms are way beyond what I can afford, so my once or twice a month escapes are no more.

Nonetheless, I still prefer Mohegan over Foxwoods - I can play longer (more bang for the buck) before I hit the bottom of my allowance. Staff members are great and friendly. Next to Vegas, this is my favorite place to be.

Foxwoods Resort Casino: Foxwoods review

I go to Foxwoods a lot so it's not too bad, but I have my share of complaints.

The Buffet food is excellent but unless you like lunch at 11:15 be prepared to stand in line for a long time.

The Video Poker is the worst I've seen: 7/5 for $.25 Jacks or better goes to 8/5 if you play $1.00 (still a long way from 9/6).

Blackjack rules are very good (surrender first 2 cards - double down after splitting). It is sometimes hard to find a seat at the blackjack or 3 card poker tables and usually minimum bet is $15.00. I never stayed overnight.

Mohegan Sun Casino: Gotta love the Sun!

Why choose the Wolf over the Fox? Many reasons. Better food, better rooms, nice facility. Friendlier hosts.

Looser high-limit slots, especially Triple Dollar and Double-Triple Diamond. Some of the hotter machines were shipped out after the house caught up to them, but there is still good action to be had.

No poker until new place opens, no bingo. Lounges are free for Wolf player and higher, and offer better food than Foxwoods. One lounge is open 24/7 in the Baccarat Pit in the Casino of the Earth. After 10:30 pm it becomes dim sum and has a great noodle chef.

There is also a noticeable lack of arrogance, as opposed to the Fox. I play there, I stay there, I win there.

The place is very unique and has multible casinos. It is set back about 25 miles from I95 in a hilly forested area. There are numerous pieces of native american art and sculptures scattered throughout the hugh complex. The slots were pretty tight, but the experience of visiting the place was worth the drive.

I have been going to Foxwoods since the very beginning, back when there were only table games. I am amazed at the growth and splendor there today.

I go mainly for the Poker. Great room, unfortunalty the only poker room, unless Mohegan Sun reopens theirs.

The buffet is good, reasonable price. I like that they have a Hard Rock Cafe. All in all, a good place to gamble

Foxowoods now has a large assortment of restaurants and entertainment. The blackjack rules are decent and the table availability is pretty good.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Foxwoods venture with MGM/Mirage and the new hotel going up on the property.

I'd like to see them improve the smoke ventilation system for the non-smokers.

Bingo is how they started and they have very big games.

Buffet most of time has the same food, and they need some change. They have most of it all, as they say "the wonder of it all Foxwoods." But there are no other casinos around like Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Need more bus service.

Rooms are nice. Has three hotels. Priced under $100 sometimes at one, the other two are more. Two Trees Inn is the cheap one. Nice and clean. Has food and 24hr shuttle bus to casino 10min walk at end of parking lot.
