This is a just ok casino. Not anything special. No buffet but a small bar restaurant which was ok. Staff there the only ones I saw smile. Had a lot of machines but nothing special. Will probably go back if I happen to be in the area but not special enough to make a special trip.

Rolling Hills Casino: Disappointing

This is a very dirty and smokey casino. It does not have a good variety of games and personnel not impressive (except for the players club lady). Saw no one wiping down machines or counters. They were very sticky. The casino, especially the non smoking area smelled like burnt grease. On the other hand, the buffet was very good, especially the prime rib. Good variety of dishes. Will probably not go back to this casino.

Chumash Casino Resort: Horrible Video Poker

Played here a few times but mainly stuck to live Poker. I checked out the Video Poker for my standard game, which is 9/6 Jacks or Better. The best version of this game pays 9 times for the Full House and 6 times for the Flush. I could not find anything that paid even close to this at Chumash. The absolute best version was in the High Limit section and that was a $5/$10/$20 machine. Want to guess what the payout was? For the Full House it only paid 7 times and for the Flush it only paid 5 times. That is horrible !!! I could even go to a Harrah's property and expect to get a better version on a $5 machine.
So that is why I stuck to the Live game.
I looked at the Slots and there were a broad variety but they didn't seem to be very loose based upon the faces of the people playing them and the lack of happy noises that usually goes with people winning.

This is a very nice small casino. Good variety of games and a small no smoking area. Restaurant is nothing special but the food is good. Nice salad bar. The best point about this casino is the staff. They are friendly and act genuinely happy when you win. Highly recommend this place and definitely will go back.

Red Hawk Casino: red hawk

I recently went to Red Hawk with my husband and was shocked by the rudeness of the Table games personnel. I asked for a 5 dollar table when they had 6 dead tables at 10 dollars and was told no. Very rudely! When I did play a 10 dollar table the dealer did not say a word to me! I have to agree that Red Hawk is being managed by people who are not used to California gaming.

I was just amazed by the rudeness of the table games department because that is all I play. I am used to Pit bosses talking to me, dealers who say good luck and thank you when toked, but not here! No Thank yous and I was very upset when I witnessed a Pit boss talking to a dealer as if she was a piece of garbage.

He asked her if she knew how to count. I felt so bad for her, I also witnessed a dealer crying on her game and no one pushed her out, she was obviously very upset with tears and still made to deal. I personally don't want to play with a dealer who is crying. The Table Games personnel are too busy talking to each other than providing good guest service to their customers. I felt like I was interrupting them when I asked for a comp.

They only have a job because people come in to gamble. I felt out of place and will never go back there! I witnessed 3-4 Pit bosses standing around the podium talking and acting bothered by their dealers yelling out change 100. They made me feel bad about asking for a comp even though I had spent a reasonable amount of money there to warrant at least some breakfast. My husband who plays slots had a horrible experience as well he could not find anyone to help him and when he asked a slot person where the poker machines were they did not know. I would not recommend going to Red hawk casino unless you enjoy bad service.

My first and last time there! About 15 min after I arrived the electricity shut off in the whole casino, after it went back on, no one was able to use any atm cash in tickets or change any bills, When trying to cash out of the slot machine, it said call attendant, & we waited @ least 20+min. to get a handwritten receipt and wait in a long long line to get our $. The buffet was also closed down the whole time i was there. Everyone was upset, I was upset this wasn't any kind of experience I recommend for anyone, I'm surprised they are stilll up & running.

Fantasy is so much fun and a beautiful property. The machines give me lots of playing time and the food is fantastic.

One of my favorite weekend things to do is hang in the Rock Yard. The rooms are also beautiful and the front desk staff very nice.

Thunder Valley Casino: Loved the electronic craps!!

I thought this casino was pretty nice but what was really awesome was the electronic craps machine! I rolled 40 times before I finally 7-outed and turned 20 bucks into 120 which is hard to do in craps...can't say the same for the digital poker room where every 2nd or 3rd hand seemed to generate a full-house or nut flush. I'd come back just for the craps machine though!
