Not a fun place to game. Fear and intimidation is the management technique toward both employees and patrons. Rank and file employees are friendly and courteous but are obviously uncomfortable.

A case I witnessed was a patron who was accused of being paid $1,500 on a "no bet" which was in fact a good bet. They were told that they had to pay it back or leave. They paid it and were told to leave anyway. OBSCENE.

Greed is the driving force behind this casino. They use any idea they may concoct to underpay their employees and reduce both benefits and payroll. I would NEVER PLAY here. Eat maybe, but not play.

My wife and I stopped in over the 4th of July. The casino was not too busy, but it was busy where we wanted to play.

There were only 2 roulette wheels, and they were packed with a lot of regulars. We finally got on one and we were cramped and quit playing after only 20 minutes because it took too long for the dealer to pay out and/or rake in chips from all the players. (I don't fully blame the dealer as some of the players were betting $30+ per spin on single numbers).

In the "low rollers" area of the blackjack pit I saw 4 or 5 tables, but they had a poor payout of 6-5 on blackjack, so we did not play. In the same area there were other player vs. the dealer poker games (I don't remember the specific ones).

There is a "high rollers" table games area, and the blackjack pays better, but I didn't walk through it. It looked less busy than the other area.

As for the slots, my wife said they were ok at best. There were very few video poker machines, and there were lines to get on them (I'm not kidding, people were forming lines on the floor itself for them).

The poker room is nice. There are numerous tables for numerous games, and they had tourneys running as well. Texas Hold 'em, Omaha, were running for sure. As for the players, they were average. I did see an older gentleman get up from an Omaha table with over $5,000 in chips. The hold 'em players were mixed, some reckless and come conservative.

The rewards card is good in my opinion as you get points for everything. (Some casinos won't do that). We played for 4 hours and made over $5.00 in food rewards, and that was from playing minimums.

The casino/racetrack is in the process of building a hotel, and according to some of the guests and dealers, once it opens, the whole place will be open 24/7. If you want to stay close to the casino, there are 2 hotels (Comfort Inn and Sleep Inn) that are very close and offer "casino packages". Check out their website for the hotel info.

I have made the 3 hour drive twice to try my luck at the table games and live poker. First trip I won on tables and lost on Poker. Next trip it was the opposite. Both trips were losers, but I did enjoy the visit and chalk the losses up to being too eager to play, not having been in a casino for quite awhile.

I'm not a slot player so I really cannot comment. The BJ tables have a lousy 6-5 payout on double deck, but they do have 3-2 with the shoes. I go midweek and they usually only have one Craps table open so it can be hard to get a spot, especially on a hot table. Roulette was fun and I actually played longer then I thought I would and came out a winner.

Live poker is always fun and plenty of offerings. On my last trip I had just changed tables from 1-2 limit to no limit when they hit the bad beat jackpot which was over $99,000. A couple hours later they hit the jackpot on the Omaha table. I think the  bad beat jackpots is one of the reasons the poker room stays busy.

The food is not bad and prices at the cafe aren't bad. The restaurant prices seem high for what it is, but I haven't eaten there so cannot really comment. They do have specials on different nights which seem good.

Now for the number one negative in my opinion about this casino: WHO EVER HEARD OF HAVING TO PAY FOR DRINKS WHILE GAMBLING IN A CASINO!!!???? It's just crazy! The waitresses are very nice and never leave you waiting for a drink, but it just irks me to be sitting there losing hundreds and have to fork out $1.50 for a bottled water, or $5 for a mixed drink!

Overall, I will be back, probably on a monthly basis.

Had not been to a casino in a few years, and this was a first visit for us. The slot machines are very tight, with none found that would just allow you to have a good time and spend your money.

Example, in Shreveport, La., you could play for up to 10 hrs on one machine without losing your backside. To me that was worth my money. Not this place. Would like to know who gets the 80% to 95% on the payouts.

The table games were a little friendlier, depending on your dealer. The customer service was welcoming except for one lady that I asked a question, and she about snapped my head off, and there were no other customers around, so it wasn't like she was busy.

So if you visit, make sure you know someone to give you the tour. Regarding the player's club, your points are rationed tightly, just like the slot machines.

We only live a few hours away, so may go back for the dog racing, but will steer clear of the casino. Also had never been in a casino that you had to buy your drinks, if you wrere spending bucks. But the diet pepsi was free! Overall, would suggest going elsewhere if you want a chance to win a few of your dollars back, and enjoy yourselves.

Put $2,000 in slots and lost it all in 3 hours. Table games were dead.

No smoking and no hard drinks. Is this a casino or a church that is taking your money ?
