Caesars?, Sunday, 15 February 2009 Written by Lub Addition of The Pier and Mia in the lobby finally give this place a few legitimate dining options besides Morton's. Comp points are worth half as much at Pier eateries as they are in the the casino. This is a step up from CP Las Vegas as points are not usable in Forum Shop restaurants. The Diamond Lounge is a very nice room with a great ocean view. Bar service at main bar in casino spotty and frequently unfriendly. Good video poker options dwindling but still available. Table limits which were formerly high have dropped since economy tanked, with five dollar tables available all weekend during my Jan 09 visit. Music in the casino is unusual. It's a mix of bad am radion and very bad lounge music from the 70s. Drink service in casino spotty but a hefty tip on drink 1 seems to be the determining factor. Lots of hooker action later in the evening if you're so inclined. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Nice Property - but avoid old hotel tower, Saturday, 20 September 2008 Written by Annual Atlantic City Visitor I have stayed here twice. Once in the new tower and once in the old tower. You definitely don't want to stay in the old tower. It's like going into a time warp - back 20 years. The elevators are very slow and very cramped. The rooms have old, noisy air conditioners and they are slow to cool the room. The only good part was that the beds were very comfortable. They do have a good video poker game for quarter players. It's a 9/6 Jacks or better game with a progressive jackpot for the royal flush. You can find it near the main escalator in the casino. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful

Don't Stay in Old Rooms, Tuesday, 30 November 1999 Written by Steve Bourie It's like stepping into a time warp and going back 30 years. The only good things were the beds - very comfortable. Also, the old wing doersn't have enough elevators - they were always busy. Good 25-cent video poker with a 9/6 jacks or better progressive located near the escalator in the main casino. |
