Never Win, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 Written by Valarie I have gambled in Bally's for years, Platium Card holder never won a penny in that place. Hit in other Casino's not for much but I won something. Bally's and Harrah's took out all the fun slot machines, it seems that these new machines are set for you to spend more money and never let you win. Have you notice that the slot machines spin differently? The pause and the over spin, I had a machine almost hit and the wheel just skipped, the person next to me could not believe what they saw the machine do. I laughed ,when I read someone wrote, you can't win on these machines they put $100 bill in the slot machine and never went into the bonus round. That is so funny yet so true. I now tell my friends who love to gamble to go to P.A. or Yonkers they still have slot machines that let you win. And I also agree with the Claridge haters, the place is a dump. The Bally's rooms are very nice, not always clean. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful
Great Place, Tuesday, 09 June 2009 Written by Atlantic City Regular Ballys also has great places to eat. My favorite place is the noodle place on the casino floor which is open 24hrs a day. With all the comp dollars I have accumulated I have never paid for a meal. Another thing that I like about Bally's is that it is connected to the Wild Wild West Casino which is a totally different atmosphere. Wild West has a country theme to it and Caesars Casino is connected to it too so you can travel throughout these three places without ever going outside which is a plus if you are booking in the winter. I have been to other casinos where it is near impossible to get a drink on a friday or saturday night but Bally's doesn't keep you waiting long. Bally's is also in a great location in Atlantic City. It's close to everything! The outlets aren't too far away and its located at the middle of the boardwalk. There is an amusement park which is open when it gets warm which is probably a 10-12minute walk away. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Never again, Saturday, 24 January 2009 Written by Harris Gibson We will never again stay at Ballys in AC. They closed our favorite restaurant (barbeque). They took away the omelette maker at the 15 dollar breakfast buffet and generally messed up the food service. The lowlight of our last (and final) visit was sending a steak back at the buffet for being overcooked and watching the partially eaten one end up back on the grill. We were put in the Claridge and the room was barely up to Day's Inn standards. I noticed that all blackjack tables on the main floor have rules that are detrimental to the player. I played for 90 minutes at a 25 dollar table with bets ranging from 25 to 50 dollars and received all of 3 dollars in comps. There is no reason whatsoever to stay or play there when the Borgata is just a ten minute drive away. Their food and service and table games are far superior and they still comp you a decent amount if you give them enough play during the day. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful
Decent Video Poker, Saturday, 13 September 2008 Written by Yearly Atlantic City Visitor
I vist this casino each year when I visit Atlantic City. I have been lucky on it and I hit a royal flush in each of the past two years. They also have $1 9/6 Jacks or better with a progressive jackpot in the Park Place poker section. In the high-limit room they also have $1 9/6 Jacks as well as $1 8/5 Bonus in triple-play versions. You can also get free parking when you earn 25 base points on your Harrah's Total rewards card. $10 on video poker equals one point, so you need to play $250 for the free parking coupon. If you play slots, then $5 equals one point and it would require only $125 in play to earn the free parking comp.
