Venetian, Sunday, 12 April 2009 Written by Jim Olsen 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
Wonderful Place, Friday, 13 February 2009 Written by Mark My wife and I have stayed at the Venetian about once a year since 2002. If you're looking for a "cheap Vegas deal" this probably isn't the place for you (though we get email and snail mail offers for reduced room rates all the time after signing up for their player's club): they're aiming for the same crowd as Wynn and Bellagio. And they do it well. Unlike other posters here our customer service experiences have been exceptional: we're not "high rollers" by any stretch but the staff has been almost uniformally friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge, well-maintained, comfortable. There is a good selection of slots (though the number of them were reduced somewhat a couple years ago when they used some slot space to build their poker room) of all denominations (even nickels: look around the staircase beneath the streetside Canal Shoppes entrance). Table minimums have dropped to the $10 level most the time. The casino has never been "smelly" and I've played BJ next to a smoker for half the night without a problem. 2 of 7 people found the following review helpful
Not for me, Friday, 25 July 2008 Written by Lunch Lady Crowded. All I could find was $1 slots. Food was too high for what it was. Cafe was crowded. The place was small for all the hoola made over it. I won't be back. Thank goodness I didn't try the hotel. Probably couldn't afford it. 3 of 6 people found the following review helpful
High limits and no service, Tuesday, 30 November 1999 Written by damama We should have played where we were staying - Bellagio for better drink service and options. We couldn't get a drink if we had tripped a cocktail waitress. |
