The Palazzo has undergone some changes already. We stayed 3 nights (comp) this week (Aug 25/27).

There are now plenty of penny machines including Wizard of Oz (4 different types), Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. The cocktail service on the slot floor was a big drawback as it sometimes took over an hour to get a cocktail/water, etc. This is being caused by the waitstaff being too thin & large areas having to be covered by one person.

The overall staff was very attentive & knowledgeable, showing a lot of training.
There was also a perfumed smell in the air that could cause problems to some people with allergies. Because of that, we will stay at the Venetian next time.

My wife and I stayed there for 3 days about 9 months after it opened. Basically a "de-themed" Venetian: the rooms were almost identical to the Venetian's.

The Check in and hotel staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful but it was obvious they were still going through their start-up pains. Casino and public spaces were spacious and clean.

The Lowest minimum we saw on table games were $10. Slots were a bit of a disappointment: not a whole lot of variety, nothing under 25 cents (that we saw) and there seemed to be a fewer number of slots over-all compared to the Venetian. Very little VP. On the other hand there were a few of the new "community"-based and themed slots that were fun to play.

There was two-deck BJ with 3:2 payout that's almost unheard of on the Strip these days (most have converted 1 and 2 deck BJ to 6:5). Shopping area was still pretty empty of businesses so can't comment much on that.
