fun to see,but don't eat, Sunday, 08 February 2009 Written by mark Excalibur is a really fun casino to play in. If you like the idea of a fun colorful medieval concept check your sword at the door, this is fun.
I agree with the other reviews that you will not be over run with tons of little kids holding candy cotton sticks against your back, but there are enough around to add a kind of fun atmosphere. There is nothing wrong with the sound of a happy laugh from a younger child. Kids and pre-teens have a sparkle that adds fun to the experience. I'm not sure the show would work so well if it was just full of us old fogies. Perhaps this is due to kids not liking new foods, but there has never been something for us adults to look forward to tasting. If all you want is a full stomach with no taste bud wonders for a good price, it is fine. Just don't expect much. The same goes for the show dinner, but that is what you expect from the dark ages.

Kid Friendly, Friday, 25 July 2008 Written by Lunch Lady Doesn't feel like a basement. Very open air. Expect to spend as much on carnival games as you would on gambling. Buffet is great. Value overall is good. Rooms are clean and big enough. Theme and music are real neat. The Knight's show is great! I''ve been twice! Strong margaritas! Make sure to get a collector's glass. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Best of Vegas, Friday, 25 July 2008 Written by Lunch Lady We saw the Louie Anderson show. He is funny! Got our picture with him before the show. Buy your tickets at a half-price outlet and save $. We sat dead center and only paid $70 for two tickets! Valet park is the only way to go here. The self park is farther in the back. Eat at Dick's Last Resort. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
Family fun too, Tuesday, 30 November 1999 Written by acwhiz The Tournament of Kings Dinner Show is a very entertaining attraction for the whole family. Although a little pricey and not the greatest of feasts the actual tournament and show is worth the cost. Lots of action, stunts and audience involvement will please almost any child or teen. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Great Location...Great Service...Average Hotel, Tuesday, 30 November 1999 Written by tommyg_stlouis This place has the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. But that's where the luxury ends. The rooms are inexpensive and clean, but there are absolutely no extras. No in-room safe, no coffee pot, no mini-bar, plastic cups instead of glasses. This was not a problem for me... just remember you're not paying Bellagio prices. The best thing about this place is the LOCATION. You can easily get to six other casinos without needing your car. The Excalibur casino is huge and has a great selection of slots and table games at reasonable table minimums. The poker room is excellent... not too many poker sharks, and they offer a bonus wheel that you get to spin on selected hands... a real nice extra ( I got an extra $50 ). They also have a huge race and sports book. Drink service was quick and frequent, even if you weren't having alcohol. I was expecting this place to be overrun with children, but this was NOT the case during our stay. They do offer an arcade area downstairs and a pool. To sum things up... this hotel is a good value for those seeking clean rooms, good service and reasonable prices. Elegance is available elsewhere, at higher prices. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
No Frills, But Great Value, Great Location!, Tuesday, 30 November 1999 Written by points leader The rooms are clean, but really basic. Great if you don't spend much time in your own hotel, like me. If you are looking for comfortable beds, big rooms, and luxury services, not the place for you. For several 3-4 day weekends a year, it is a great value on a room while being able to keep your cash for gambling, entertainment at the pricier casinos, and shows. You will not be overrun by kids and drunks, like the other end of the Strip. Overall a nice, friendly, family hotel and casino. Just ok slots, not big payouts, but good selection of slots, and great table games at reasonable minimums ($10-$15 on up) for the pricey side of town. Neat theme hotel for families and women who like medeival charm. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
More fun to play than others, Tuesday, 30 November 1999 Written by Aubrav I haven't won anything big, but I can play for quite a while on a minimal amount, unlike most of the other casinos that take your money without giving you a chance to enjoy your gaming. They are also very good about serving drinks while you are gambling, I am always asked if I would like a drink. |
