I have been going to casinos for 22 years. Been to every casino in the Lake Charles area, for the most they are very nice places for good gaming entertainment. The Isle of Capri is one that is more for the locals. The rooms at the Hotel Tower are old and worn, but still comfortable enough to just lay your head down. Now the casino itself, another story. I personally go gaming enough where I get to know staff very well and hear the inside scoop of what goes on internally. I think the waitress who serve the drinks do a great job, and they also will talk plenty to tell you what is going on with the company. (remember tipping goes a long way) The Isle in Lake Charles is in shambles, they have let go of many of the people who used to run the place because the gaming is very poor. They have systems problems very often, which shuts down their slots, prevents payouts, and comp rewards. Their slot supervisors and managers are the worst at providing customer services. From personal experience I have felt what they provide as a service. Casino cages are very poorly run, with staff that just doesn't care. Maybe they just have jobs they really hate because of poor management. I don't recommend this place for Texas gamers, for locals only. There are other Casinos in area that are great place to play and have real fun. And no there is no real shows or entertainment at the Isle. Just remember this, don't expect to win a lot at any Casino, go to have good time, which you won't get at the Isle in Lkae Charles.

Since January 15, 2010 the Isle of Capri has lowered its video poker returns significantly. Multi-hand 5¢ has been dropped from 99% to 97-98%; 50¢ VP has been dropped by as much as 2% to the 97% range. Quarters have been lowered this week to 97-98% and most appalling is the removal of all Deuces Wild, Deuces Wild Bonus and Jacks or Better. Returns now match the other Lake Charles casino-Lauberge du Lac. Additionally, casino executive hosts, several secretaries, and staff have been fired leading to lowered morale. The hotel staff still does a great job but the morale is very low amongst employees. The buffet continues to decline in quality. On the slot front, many new slots are being provided for those who play slots and virtual blackjack machines are constantly being played. New blackjack and multi-player slots are being added.

Haven't been to Lake Charles in about a year and just went back. Don't know what's going on but things have gotten a lot better! Looks cleaner, staff was great and entertainment was a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back!

I love what you have done to the Inn at the Isle. The rooms are really nice. I would almost prefer to stay at the Inn now. Even though the other casinos are nicer, the Isle's employees are friendly and remember you name. They treat us like family. The other casinos in Lake Charles treat you like a number.

We consider the Isle of Capri home!

THIS PLACE IS SO BAD THAT IT SHOULD BE OUTLAWED. TRYING TO GET AROUND IN A HANDICAP SCOOTER IS A CHORE. THERE ARE MORE UPS & DOWNS THAN A ROLLER COASTER. SURE THEY HAVE ELEVATORS THAT YOU MUST USE TO GET TO THE GAMEING FLOORS, BUT WHAT A NUISANCE.

THE FOOD IS NOT ONLY EXPENSIVE, BUT LOUSY. IN TALKING TO THE FRONT DESK CLERK, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE ARE NO AARP OR MILITARY DISCOUNTS. I WAS TOLD WHY SHOULD THEY DISCOUNT WHEN THEY HAVE A CAPTIVE PATRONAGE.
1 NIGHT COST ME MORE THAN 2 NIGHTS AT MGM IN VEGAS

Made reservations two weeks in advance for mothers day at Farradays restaurant. They gave me a 5:00 pm dinner reservation. I again called on Thurs. May 7th to confirm and they told me it was confirmed. I arrived at 4:30pm on Mothers day with my wife and son only to be told the hours for mothers day was 11:00 am to 4:00 p.m. ii went to the customer service/players booth and asked to speak to a casino mgr. A young lady told me she was the casino supv. and when I explained the situation she stated "Maybe they didnt know the restaurant was going to have different hours". What kind of communication and poor business is that, your only prime restaurant and people taking the reservations dont know the hours or change of hours. I have been to many casinos in my life and this is the most poorly managed one I have ever step foot in. This experience convinced me never to do business there again, nor any of my family members. I will also let others I know when they ask about the poor service, management, and careless attitude of their employees.

Continuing business this way in the future is certainly a good way to end up with a poor rating, loss of customers and revenue. From what I experienced today along with the nonchalant attitude of your Supv. it shouldn't be long before your revenues suffer.

Really horrible experience!!!

This was my first time going to gamble and the Isle is just exactly that, I took a gamble on going there and crapped out! The service is horrible. I waited an hour for a drink that never showed up, so I had to make my own non alcoholic drink. My husband did get one beer.. and thats it, during the 4 hours spent there...I will never go again.! I would not recommend this place to anyone, go somewhere else.

We travel nationwide in an RV and this place is characteristic of Isle of Capri casinos all around the country. These places have been milked of their profits with nothing returned to the properties.

With rare exception, Isle casinos are dirty, the food is bad and treatment of customers is worse. Avoid them at any cost.

Buffet has realy gone downhill.

It's difficult to find a cocktail person and at times there are no cashiers on the second floor of the small boat.
