Tighter, Thursday, 29 October 2009 Written by Kenny Many of the games are simply outdated. They have an over abundance of first generation video poker machines. Popular games such as Zeus and Jungle Wild are limited to two machines each, in the whole building. You are NOT going to find any new games such as WMS's Hot Hot Super Respin Series (Zeus II, Palace of Riches III, Hearts of Venice... etc). You are NOT going to find Jungle Wild II. They do however have the new video QuickPick Progressive slots. They do have a variety of slots, but as I stated, many of these are older games. The machines could use a good cleaning. Some of the buttons do not work. Many of the games have issues accepting cash and tickets. The overall playing action is tight. There used to be a time when I could go to Meskwaki with $300 and have it last for many hours. Many times I could bring money home. This is no longer the case for me. I tend to go to the casino late at night. There used to be quite a crowd, even overnight. Now there are only a few cars in the parking lot at night. Perhaps it's the poor economy. Perhaps it's because gamblers are going elsewhere. 4 of 6 people found the following review helpful
WHAT HAPPENED TAMA, Wednesday, 20 May 2009 Written by William McGREW I live in Blackhawk County and have gone there for the last 10 years, but will save my time and money for Dubuque and the Isle. You ought to downsize and go back to the way you used to be. Your customers made you what you are, treat us better and take some pride again. Let the Vegas people come back. They knew what they were doing, get rid of Mr. Bear. Everyone I know feels the same way. I like to at least have fun for my money, but don't go there anymore. I wont ever go back. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
Mes-crappy, Wednesday, 08 April 2009 Written by Jimmy L First of all the food was AWFUL and it didn't help that the staff was unattentive and obviously disinterested in leaving the buffet customers happy. The players club offered nothing spectacular and again the unattentive employees were running the place. The casino itself is a nice gaming area, slots were tight and from the regular customers i chatted with it has only been getting worse with the economy. Not enough table games, but the blackjack dealer I had was knowledgable and tried to be friendly. As a whole I had a fairly unsatisfactory gaming experience at Meskwaki. The customer service was LOUSY and the gaming wasn't much better. Great facility that has a bunch of potential but they need player club help, host help, and their food manager should be fired for its unprofessional staff.
