loosen up the slots, Monday, 12 October 2009 Written by KATHY CORCORAN I live in waterloo and have been to the isle several times. Believe me, its worth the 90 minute drive to go elsewhere, slots are so tight. Hundred dollars gone in thirty minutes with nothing, the average pay back on quarters is, eight quarters, (if your lucky.) Buffet is terrible always cold and food has been sitting awhile. If you want to gamble any length of time, I recomend to go elsewhere. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful

GIVING UP ON YOU, Thursday, 05 March 2009 Written by Frank Bergmann Worst paying quarters i have ever played. Only one bathroom on main floor. Everyone plays pennies, they are the only machines that pay and you have to play a large amount to hit anything. You can't figure out a machine or see how it works because yor money is gone as soon as you get there. Good entertainment, good food, good service, but tight slots.

Isle of Capri Waterloo, Saturday, 24 January 2009 Written by Dave retired Several issues with this new casino. It is small and the machines are tight. When they introduce new machines, they are so tight that you have to play a lot to even see how the game works. Breakfast buffet is excellent, especially the omelets. Other buffets are high priced and often the food is cold and appears to have been sitting out a while even if you go at opening. It is nearly impossible to find out what comps you have earned and it appears to be some sort of military secret. Only one restroom in the entire gaming area is not very workable for many. Rooms are very nice and love the showers. With all the competition in the area, we are amazed that they are the tightest within a 90 mile radius. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful

Isle of Capri, Waterloo, IA, Tuesday, 30 November 1999 Written by Wildflower Upon arrival, there were no signs for RV parking so we talked to the valet. On the far side, by all the construction trailers were two lanes marked bus and truck. Since we did not want to sleep next to a diesel engine running, the valet let us park in the back of the valet lot. (not level) The next day we ate lunch at the buffet. Unfortunately, it was the week for a $2.00 buffet for Blackhawk County residents and the buffet was very crowded. Many containers were not re-filled when empty. I would like to go back on a normal day and see if it would be better. We found the machines to be tight. The venilation needs improvement. It seemed to blow smoke in my face from several machines away. |
