By H. Scot Krause The Palms Casino Resort, while catering to today’s younger, MTV/Generation X, offers some of the city's most spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip with over 700 standard and unique, specialty suites, outstanding nightlife venues and a wide variety of dining options.
In October 2006, the Palms opened the world’s only Playboy Club, featuring bunny dealers, high stakes gaming and nightlife all coming together to create an unparalled experience in gaming. Open seven days a week, the Playboy Club is located on the 52nd floor of the Fantasy Tower. Just below is Nove Italiano, touted as one of the finest Italian restaurants anywhere in the world. And above it all, Moon, an outrageous nightclub with a very impressive retractable roof, is a great place to top off any evening.
Other restaurants located throughout the resort include Alizé, Blue Agave Oyster & Chile Bar, Garduños, Little Buddha, N9NE, 24/Seven Coffee Shop, Bistro Buffet and a Food Court.
Nightlife also includes the Ghostbar on the 55th floor and Rain Nightclub just off the main casino floor. The resort is known for celebrity sightings and is the home of Bravo's "Celebrity Poker Showdown." Specialty suites offer extra-large furniture for the hotel’s many NBA guests and the two luxury Playpen suites (complete with stripper poles) attract not only bachelor and bachelorette parties but also A-list celebrities.
The Palms has also constructed the 40-story Fantasy Tower. Besides standard guest rooms, there are a series of fantasy suites. From the mammoth and lush Celebrity Suite to the ultra-hip g Suite, the Palm's Fantasy Suites also include the hip-hop-laden Crib Suite, the bachelorette party-friendly Hot Pink Suite and the Erotic Suite. At the top of the Fantasy Tower are the six Sky Villas, which each offer an outdoor pool overlooking The Strip. The new tower also houses a state-of-the-art recording studio and a floor of meeting space.
Standard room amenities include air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, on-command/pay-per-view movies, Egyptian cotton duvets, remote-controlled cable TV, alarm clock/radio, desk, electronic door locks, in-room safe, on-television Internet access, minibar, telephone and voice mail. The Palms is also home to The Pearl concert venue featuring today’s hottest artists in concert.

The 95,000-square-foot casino offers 2,200 slot machines and video poker machines, including some of the best video poker paytables in Las Vegas. The games include full-pay Deuces Wild, 10/7 Double Bonus, 10/6 Double Double Bonus, Not So Ugly Deuces, and 9/6 Jacks or Better in denominations from one penny up to $25.
